To access the input plate on the MG401, the user simply applies pressure on the top panel. This, in turn, release the latch and allows the pneumatic gas-powered spring to tilt the imput plate into view. Once opened, the input plate remains securely in place. To hide the MG 401 from view, the user presses on the top panel once more to automatically close and latch the lid. In its clsoed position , the top panel lies fluch with the tabletop.
