Mechanical Gear Boxes incorporate a wet type multiplates clutch capable of transmitting full engine torque continuously in forward drive. This feature makes the gear box extremely suitable for long trawling operations of the fishing boats. Reverse rotation is effected through a train of bevel gears. A set of all helical gears provides reduction units of required ratio. All the working parts inside the gearbox are splashed-lubricated.
