Day 1
Arrive Delhi
Welcome to DelhiInternationalAirport. On Arrival, Greetings and assistance awaits for you. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2
DELHI SIGHTSEEING
Post breakfast proceed for the sightseeing Tour of Delhi covering Raj Ghat (the cremation sight of Father of India, Mahatma Gandhi), Shanti Vana (the cremation site of first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru), Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. In the afternoon, proceed to visit the Humayun’s Tomb, the 12th century Qutub Minar, the massive India Gate and Laxminarayan (Birla Temple) Temple as you catch glimpses of President’s House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place while driving through the city.
Day 3
DELHI AGRA (By surface 205 km, approx 04 hrs drive)
Early morning after breakfast proceed for Agra. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of Agra.
Sightseeing Includes
Taj Mahal- one of the seven wonders of the world
Completed in 1653 A.D., The Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the final resting place for his favourite Queen, Mumtaz. Finished in by Marvel, it is perhaps India most fascinating and beautiful monument. These perfectly symmetrical monuments took 22 years (1630-1652) of hard labor and 20,000 workers, Masons and Jewelers to built and is set amidst landscaped gardens. It was erected by the Persian architect, Ustad Isa.
AGRA FORT : The great Mughal Emperor Akbar commissioned the construction of the Agra Fort in 1565 A.D., although additions were made till the time of his grandson Shah Jahan. There are number of exquisite building like the Moti Masjid-a white marvel mosque akin to a perfect pearl, Diwan-e-Am, Diwan-e-Khaas, Jehangir’s Palace, Khaas Mahal, Shish Mahal and Musamman or Samman Burj-where Shahjahan was held captive in 1666 A.D.
ITMAD-UD-DAULA: Itmad-ud-Daulah is the tomb of Mirza Ghyas Beg, a persian who had obtained service in Akbar Court. The Marvel tomb was made by Emperor Jehangir’s Queen, Noorjahan, for his father Mirza Ghyas Beg during 1622-1628 A.D..
The Craftmanship at Itmad-ud-Daula foreshadows that of the Taj Mahal. It was here that. “Pietra Dura”-the inlay work on marble-so characteristic of the Taj-was first used.
Later in the evening return to the hotel. In the evening you can also visit local market of Agra.
Day 4
AGRA- JAIPUR (By surface 235 km, approx. 04 ½ hrs. drive)
Early morning after breakfast proceed for the drive to Jaipur. Enroute you will be visiting the Fatehpur Sikri (a world heritage site).
FATEHPUR SIKRI: Built during the second half of the 16th century by the Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for only some 10 years later it was avoided due to the water scarcity. The complex of monuments and temples, all in a uniform architectural style, includes one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid.
Later continue drive to the Jaipur. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. In the evening you can visit local market of Jaipur.
Day 5
JAIPUR Sightseeing
Breakfast at hotel and then proceed to Jaisalmer. Enjoy the drive viewing the lovely life of the deserted land, passing through villages. Arrive Jaisalmer by early evening.Evening, enjoy camel ride & sunset view from Sam Sand Dunes (40 Kms west of Jaisalmer). Optional dinner on sand dunes with folk dance. Overnight stay in a heritage hotel.
Day 6
JAIPUR-Delhi
On this day after breakfast you will drive to Delhi.
On arrival at Delhi refer to the hotel for freshen-up. Time for relax and in evening after farewell dinner proceed to the Airport to pick the flight to your onwards journey with pleasant memories of the tour.
