Cefpodoxime And Potassium Clavulanate Tablets 325mg

Cefpodoxime is an oral, third generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It is effective against various Gram Positive & Gram Negative Microorganisms.

Clavulanic acid is a beta lactamase inhibitor produced by Streptomyces clavuligerus. Clavulanic acid is an irreversible inhibitor of intracellular and extracellular β-lactamases. It binds to beta lactamase enzyme and inactivates them, thus restricting the cefpodoxime destruction.

It is used in treatment of:

1)      Upper and lower respiratory tract infections

2)      Skin and soft tissue infections

3)      Urinary tract infections

4)      Gonorrhea

5)      Acute community acquired Pneumonia

6)      Pharyngitis, tonsillitis
