LVP is thinner than ceramic tile, wood and other types of flooring and doesn’t require an underlayment, so it’s possible to go over existing flooring without raising the floor much.It does need to be installed on a smooth surface, so don’t lay it on tile, and most manufacturers do not recommend LVP over other floating floor systems.LV flooring is similar to sheet vinyl, but it’s thicker, tougher and easier to install.

How to install the luxury vinyl planks:

Step 1:Sand down the high spots.

Step 2:Fill in the low spots.

Step 3:Undercut doorjambs

Step 4:Leave gaps along walls.

Step 5:Snap the planks together.

Step 6:Tap in the end planks.

Step 7: Install bridge molding.
