Coolant Recipe
The coolant in the car's radiator helps in the prevention of the risk of overheating and helps the engine maintain a consistent operating temperature. The coolant levels in the radiator should be checked regularly and it is to be made sure that there are no contaminants floating in the system. Fresh coolant should be kept on hand for those times when it is needed to top off the radiator or to drain the system and replace it. To make a new engine coolant, one gallon of the antifreeze, manufactured by Chemtex, is to be taken into a large bucket or large mixing jar. Then one gallon of distilled water is to be poured into the bucket or mixing jar. It should be mixed together thoroughly and the coolant blend can now be used in the car's radiator. The coolant blend should be stored in a large, tightly sealed jug. Tap water should not be used when creating a coolant blend or topping off the radiator in an emergency situation. Tap water contains minerals that may cause corrosion within the cooling system. Distilled water is the safest form to be used.
