Condensate Neutralising Amine
Crude Oil are susceptible to brines of sodium, calcium and other metals and needs to undergo desaltation process in refinery so as to avoid the formation of corrosive hydrogen chloride gas. Normal desaltation or water wash proves to be not sufficient enough for complete removal of salt particles and hence comes the use of neutralizing amines or blend of different amines which react with brines to form non-corrosive by products and can be easily removed.
