Descaling Chemicals
A descaling chemical serves as a chemical substance used for the purpose of removal of limescale from metal surfaces in contact with hot water, such as in boilers, water heaters, etc. Descaling chemicals are typically acidic compounds such as hydrochloric acid that shows reaction with the alkaline carbonate compounds present in the scale, producing carbon dioxide gas and a soluble salt.
