ATMP is available in salts of sodium compounds such as ATMP 2Na Amino Trimethyl Phosphonic Acid Disodium salt, ATMP 4Na Amino Trimethyl Phosphonic Acid Tetra sodium salt etc. Commercially the product is manufactured by Chemtex in liquid form as ATMP 50 Percent. It exhibits chelating properties that can be synthesized from the reaction of ammonia, formaldehyde and phosphorous acid. It shows better antiscale performance than polyphosphate through its excellent ability of low threshold inhibition, chelation and lattice distortion process.
